Visit the International Space Station

This site should help you see how modules are constructed in space. Follow the timeline of construction, identify the costs, problems that have risen, and the proposed solutions. Use this information to help you identify what you will need to overcome for your space module.

Select the grade 5-8 link, select "In the Spotlight" and then select "What is the International Space Station?" to learn about the crew, the mission, the timline of construction, and other interesting facts.

Use a Word document to summarize your findings of the answers to your questions about living in space and to add some interesting facts about the International Space Station. Include at least one picture. Print it out and place it in your scrapbook or a binder reserved for your ongoing work on this project.

If you fail to complete this part of the project, you must stop your mission and continue to read, take Cornell notes on chapter 17, section 1, 2, and 3, answer the study guide questions, and answer the assessment questions at the end of the chapter. You must outline your facts then use those facts to create a poster or a PowerPoint which includes the facts you learned about the planets and take an assessment on March 17.
