Students will be divided into expert teams of 4:
1. Journalist: works closely with the team and
gathers information about each topic in order to develop thorough and interesting questions for interviews on a talk
show. The journalist also documents the web site sources accurately and thoroughly. He or she also keeps an accurate record
or journal of the daily activities conducting as evidence upon return to home base.
2. Geologist: Describes the composition of the planet—soil, atmosphere, temperature,
gravity, etc.
3. Photographer/Architect: collects interesting photos of your planet, the planned site,
and surrounding areas. He or she documents the sources for the photos. He or she helps make decisions and suggestions about
the layout and design.
4. Astronomer: Collects data about the planet—history, distances from Earth
and other planets, number of moons, and other interesting facts.
Students will conduct an Internet search to collect relevant information about the planets, their moons, and an asteroid, comet, or meteor. Collect this information and store it
in a scrapbook, binder, or journal reserved for this project. This is your evidence.
